Tried a new fanatasy book for our bookclub. It starts off promising with a new magic system, but didn’t explain it sufficiently and left me disappointed. It is fairly fast-paced but often skipping big, interesting parts of the story.
The part which bothered me the most though was that the protagonist was predominantly silent, so there is hardly any conversations but the book is predominantly describing all action objectively.
I wasn’t a huge fan and didn’t go on to read the second part even though the story premise was interesting.
